CADA was honored to be the host of the workshop “Understanding Addiction and Supporting Recovery: Strategies and Tools for Clergy and Other Congregational Leaders”.  This important training event conducted by Steve Hornberger and Spencer Baker of NACOA (National Association for Children of Alcoholics) provided support and learning opportunities for faith leaders in our community who provide guidance and treatment for addiction within their congregations.

Special thanks to Deputy Secretary, Mike Duffy, of the Department of Health and Hospitals: Office of Addictive Disorders for his support, encouragement, and words of inspiration at the event.  Special thanks also to our community partner, Freddie Landry of Healing Hearts for Community Development, a ministry of Celebration Church, for their support and the use of their beautiful meeting facility.

CADA is dedicated to bringing together leaders of all faiths who are committed to  helping heal the lives of families in our communities.
