Prevention Education

CADA provides the same evidence-based alcohol and substance abuse curriculums in schools in Spanish to children who have limited English language skills.  Both “Project Alert” and “Too Good For Drugs” are available in Spanish.  

 

Culturally Sensitive/Culturally Competent Services

CADA delivers the "Soy Unica Soy Latina" program to Hispanic/Latino youth in schools.  This innovative program helps build resistance skills and resiliency through self-esteem enhancement.

 

Para Un Futuro Mejor  “For A Better Future” is an additional program that CADA has available to Hispanic Latino youth.  Core to the group learning are presentations by Hispanic/Latino professionals from the New Orleans community.

 

Hispanic Volunteer Coalition:  Professionals from across the community who are dedicated to the education of Hispanic/Latino youth and who are passionate about keeping kids free from alcohol and drugs.  Volunteers meet regularly to discuss issues pertinent to the Hispanic community and spend time with kids in the classroom providing self-esteem building activities.
