                             ABOUT CADA

The Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse For Greater New Orleans is a non-profit community health agency that provides substance abuse prevention, education, and assessment services to individuals and families of the Greater New Orleans area.  For 49 years, CADA’s prevention educators and counselors have reached out to students, parents, families, and community organizations with services to help in the prevention and intervention of alcohol and drug abuse.  CADA’s services are offered within the parishes of Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, St. Charles, and Plaquemines.

 

All services are offered in both English and Spanish.

 

MISSION

To prevent the abuse of alcohol, drugs, and other addictive substances in order to promote and support healthy individuals, families, and safe communities.  CADA’s mission is achieved through education, intervention, information, and referral services.

VISION

CADA envisions a community that comprehends and strives to prevent and reduce the adverse effects of addiction and abuse of alcohol and other drugs.  Through its continuing advocacy, education, referral, and collaborative efforts, CADA is the community’s leading resource for achieving this vision.
